Nope, not the show, just an intro to me and my crazy crew. I don’t even watch the show. I’ve heard all the reviews and that it’s an amazing show, but I just don’t get why people would watch a show that makes them cry every week. No thanks!!
A bit about me. Let’s see….I’ve worked at Ford for the last 14 years full time. But that might all be changing soon. As I told my co-workers it might just be time for me to just be a mom for awhile. My husband, Shawn, and I have been married for almost 7 years. We actually dated in high school for a few months, then reconnected on Facebook. One date later, after he tried asking me out for a month, and the rest is, as they say, history.
We have 3 adorable little ones. River is our oldest at 5 and will be starting kindergarten in the fall. He is obsessed with dinosaurs and can pronounce the most difficult names correctly, but doesn’t know what the letter “F” looks like. Grayson is our middle child at 3. Going on 13. She’s the emotional one of the bunch. The sudden crying over everything is exhausting and frustrating. Ivy is the baby. She just turned 1. She’s our “silent observer”. She will literally sit there studying you until you wonder if she’s trying to steal your soul.
We have a 4 year old Schipperke rescue named, Chloe, who is crazy. Literally crazy!!! There are days where we wonder whatever possessed us to get a little dog. We have a pond full of fish and a turtle in our yard. The kids get the biggest kick out of it when the turtle decides to come out for a little time in the sun. Although it freaked them out when we found the turtle half way across the patio.
My husband is a carpenter, so our house is a constant work in progress. The joys of being the carpenter’s wife….. Expect some of those projects to be posted here. If we ever finish any of them. The last one we did together was turning an old wine barrel into a rain barrel for the back yard. Little did we know that the inside would be gross from having wine in it before, and no real easy way to clean it.
Still working on that, so it just sits on the patio not being used. We did A LOT this year in all the gardens, but especially the backyard with the addition of the pond, new flower beds, and grass by the house for the first time in what seems like forever. We even have 2 fairy gardens, an herb garden, a vegetable garden with tomatoes, jalapenos, onions, bell peppers, potatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, and have a hanging planter of strawberries. The strawberries are River’s favorite and he likes to go out and pike the ripe ones everyday. I’d like to think my grampy is proud of the green thumb I seem to have developed.
